Over 60 years ago, Milton "Butch" Tingen enlisted in the Air Force in the logistical supply unit on the FOB in Thailand. This was an essential asset to the US forces throughout Vietnam for the US advancement. It was there he learned the importance of communication and logistics to ensure the troops got their supplies needed for a successful mission; this has carried through to our daily operations today. As his tour came to an end he began his career as an appliance delivery associate for the department store Roses. Here he gained the skills and understanding of what it took to put the customer's mind at ease by communicating and treating the products with the utmost care. One thing led to another like they do, and the next thing he knew, he was manufacturing and installing modular furniture.
Let's move forward to 2000. With all of his knowledge and experience, Butch set out to provide high-quality furnishings at a reasonable price, top-notch customer service, and personalized floor plans to work for our customer's needs. His son Billy joined the team in 2006 as a laborer, to gather trash, and pretty much the "Gofer" you can expect starting from the bottom. He learned to read floor plans, part numbers, how to install all products Tingen offers, and to put those principles to work. After a couple of years, Billy moved up to lead installer, a couple more to foreman, a few more years pass to design, and now he oversees day to day operations.
23 years later we have the same values and core principles that Butch has instilled in all of us at Tingen Enterprises, and we continue to bring those "like-minded" individuals aboard. Our slogan, "In all we do, we give it our all. Above and beyond" is a testament to our Founder and our daily mantra. We're a family-run and operated business that treats all of our customers like family, join the Tingen Team today!
